Take a dab of petroleum jelly and work it into your hands before you start a project that involves paint, grease, or other things that are tough to get off once they've gotten on your skin. Now if you get any paint or grease on your hands while you're working you can wipe it right off without a problem. It's like wearing gloves without the loss of feeling or difficultly grasping small things.
