A heartwarming story was relayed by Jim Herndon. A man knocked on the front door of Jim’s home, introduced himself as a high school friend of Max Emery and presented a $1,000 check to Rotary for student scholarships. The check was on behalf of George and Spencer Smith and the EAWR Class of 1957. “One never knows the impact that we all make on others in our daily life…an impact that might someday result in something good for someone else! One of life’s pleasant surprises…....and God’s challenge to each of us!” Jim wrote.
