This
month, the Rotary Club of Denver Southeast, Colorado, USA, holds its
virtual Race Across Africa, with participants
exercising at home to see how fast they can cover the length of the
Nile: 4,132 miles. Participants can also earn “Nile miles” for every
U.S. dollar they raise. The race supports water and sanitation projects
in Africa, as well as other service projects sponsored by Rotary clubs
around
the world. This year’s race benefits two projects: installing a clean,
reliable water system in a rural hospital in Mugonero, Rwanda, and
providing water and sanitation facilities for families in the slum of
Kibera, outside Nairobi, Kenya. Learn
