WORLD BLOOD DONOR DAY

World Blood Donor Day is 14 June. The 2010 event, with the theme “New Blood for the World,” will focus on young donors. The need for blood is increasing in all parts of the world, and young people can make an important contribution by donating blood and recruiting others to become donors. Many activities are planned around the world to highlight the role of young people in ensuring a safe blood supply. Learn more on the World Blood Donor Day website. Rotary specific-materials have been provided by the Global Network for Blood Donation, a Rotarian Action Group.
