NOW YOU KNOW

General_Pulaski_1931_Issue-2c.jpgImage via WikipediaSince the founding of American, Congress (or the President, as authorized by Congress) has granted honorary citizenship to seven individuals.  (This honor does not come with any typical rights of citizenship, but does sometimes come with a pretty cool pseudo-passport, as seen here.)  Lafayette and four others -- Casimir Pulaski, Raoul Wallenberg, William Penn and his second wife, Hannah Callowhill Penn -- have received the honor posthumously.  Two others have been so honored while still alive: Mother Theresa and Winston Churchill.
