1972:Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis and notorious paparazzo Ron Galella finish their court fight over his too-close-for-comfort style of photographing Onassis and her family. He is later ordered to stay 25 feet away from them.

1942:
With President Roosevelt’s approval, the military begins relocating Japanese Americans from their West Coast homes to detention centers.
