COMBO MEETING UPDATE

The combined meeting of Wood River, Bethalto and East Alton Rotary clubs will be held Wednesday evening, March 24 at Knights of Columbus Hall, 102 Whitelaw Avenue, Wood River.  Proceeds will benefit the proposed Fischer House near Jefferson Barracks. The facility would serve families visiting patients at Veterans Administration hospitals.  Major Troy Scott of the U.S. Army will serve as keynote speaker.  A recipient of the Purple Heart and Bronze Star Medal the Wood River native has been nominated for the Distinguished Service Cross and Silver Star Medal for saving the lives of fellow soldiers in Afghanistan.
