THE OUT-OF-TOWNERS
TCM, 8:30 p.m. ET
Made in 1970, this movie comedy, written by Neil Simon, stars Jack Lemmon and Sandy Dennis, as visitors to New York having an unimaginably bad day – and night. The real star, though, is the city itself, captured in all its gritty non-glory in the dog day afternoons before it was cleaned up.
