ANTS ALL OVER THE PLACE

The Smithsonian is currently running an exhibition on ants. You can check out the exhibition on its site. (Link above)

Start by viewing the photo gallery. One look at the photos, and I knew that I had to share them with you.

There are plenty of amazing close-up macro shots of ants. You'll see a variety of different species going about their business.

The photographs are definitely cool. And, as I read the accompanying descriptions, I started to realize that ants are really fascinating.ii

For example, one species of ant harvests its own food. It uses leaf clippings to grow a fungus that it eats!

You'll learn many other amazing facts about ants and their behavior.
