1851:Abolitionist Sojourner Truth, born a slave named Isabelle, delivers her most famous speech, “Ain’t I A Woman?” at a women's rights convention in Akron, Ohio.

1942: Bing Crosby records his famous rendition of “White Christmas.” It is featured in the movie Holiday Inn.
