ITALIAN EARTHQUAKE

A 6.3-magnitude earthquake in April caused massive damage in the Abruzzo region of Italy. The earthquake killed nearly 300 people, injured about 1,000, and left 48,000 homeless, according to the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies. Rotarians were instrumental in providing emergency relief and are now planning a long-term project to rebuild the local university. To learn more or to make a contribution, contact Tullio Tonelli, past governor of District 2090 (Albania; Italy).
