THE NEXT BIG THING?

Never worry about losing your sunglasses again, said Doug Aamoth in Time.com. While “I can say with 99 percent confidence that I’ll never spend $350 on a pair of sunglasses,” a company called Tzukuri might just change my mind. Its latest offering, which “will be available toward the end of the year,” features a solar-powered Bluetooth chip that can sync with iPhone apps to help owners keep track of their shades’ location and alert them if they wander away and leave the specs behind. The glasses themselves, which are “handcrafted in Japan, each taking up to three weeks to cobble together,” are available in six styles, with frames that pay homage to fashion and cultural icons John Lennon, Tom Ford, Atticus Finch, Truman Capote, Grace Kelly, and John F. Kennedy.
