A growing number of young engaged women are undergoing cosmetic surgery on their hands so that they can post flattering selfies of their new rings online. The $1,200 “hand lift” involves facial filler being injected into the hand to hide unsightly wrinkles, tendons, and veins. “What we want to achieve is a plump, smooth surface,” said New York doctor Ariel Ostad. Bride-to-be Alexandra Berry says she got the hand lift because she always felt her hands were too boyish. “So I figured, ‘Why not?’”
