Unless you're George Clooney and you're doing it in "Oceans 11," trying to rob a casino is stupid to begin with. There's too much security, too many witnesses, and almost no way to make a clean getaway.

Having said that, the guys that robbed the Rio took stupid to a whole new level.

According to police, Steven Gao allegedly walked into the Rio wearing a fake moustache, a wig, and a hat and stole more than $30,000 worth of chips from a pai gow table. Then he went outside and jumped in his getaway car: a cab! Turns out that the cab driver, Hiroyuki Yamaguchi, was allegedly in on the plot. How did police figure that out? Well, when Gao got in the cab, Yakaguchi covered up the surveillance camera inside the vehicle but forgot to disable the microphone so their conversation about the robbery was recorded. The cab then dropped Gao off at Terrible's where he then used a pay phone to call an alleged third accomplice Edward Land, an act all caught on that hotel's security cameras.
