NOVEMBER 22

1963: President John F. Kennedy is assassinated by Lee Harvey Oswald while riding in a motorcade through downtown Dallas. Vice President Lyndon B. Johnson is sworn in as president of the United States two hours later, aboard Air Force One at Dallas Love Field airport.

 2004:The Orange Revolution begins in Ukraine, resulting from the presidential elections.

1968: The Beatles release the White Album in the United Kingdom; it is their first and only double album.

1998: Jack Kevorkian is shown performing voluntary euthanasia on terminal Lou Gehrig's disease patient Thomas Youk, 52, in footage broadcast on the news program 60 Minutes. Kevorkian would be convicted of second-degree murder in April 1999 and serve eight years in prison.

1943:Lebanon: independence from France.

1995:Pixar's "Toy Story," is released; first feature length computer generated film

1858:High altitude city Denver, Colorado is founded.
