TODAY IN HISTORY

1972: Eight Palestinian terrorists invade the Olympic Village in Munich and seize 11 members of the Israeli Olympic team. All of the Israelis, five terrorists and a German police officer are killed.

1975: Secret Service agent Larry Buendorf grabs a gun from Lynette “Squeaky” Fromme, keeping her from shooting President Gerald Ford.

1997: Mother Teresa dies at the headquarters of her order in India. She was 87.
