POEPLE BEING PEOPLE

John Lennon
A Canadian dentist is hoping to clone John Lennon by using DNA extracted from one of the singer’s teeth. Michael Zuk—who paid $33,000 for the molar at a 2011 -auction—told a British TV interviewer that he is currently sequencing the Beatle’s DNA, and thinks scientific advances will soon allow him to convert that genetic information into stem cells, and eventually into a reborn Lennon. “Bringing back one of rock’s greatest stars would be mind-blowing,” he said. Zuk said that he intended to raise the bogus Beatle as his own son, and let him make his own decisions about what he wants to do. “But you know, guitar lessons wouldn’t hurt anyone, right?”
