THANKS FOR THE SUPPORT

Rotary International has recognized the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers Association of America (PhRMA) for its support for PolioPlus and efforts to improve the health of disadvantaged people in India. Rotary Foundation Trustee Chair Carl-Wilhelm Stenhammar paid tribute to PhRMA at its headquarters in Washington, D.C., on 9 March.
The association has contributed $300,000 to PolioPlus in support of Rotary’s US$200 Million Challenge and funded health camps in India focused on the early detection of chronic diseases.
"We are more than pleased and honored to receive this recognition," said PhRMA President and CEO John Castellani. "Through working with other organizations like Rotary International, we will continue our dedication in broadening access to safe and effective medicines to help patients around the world fight disease."
