TIME TO BE A (BASEBALL) MANIAC

THINGS YOU WANTED TO KNOW ABOUT BASEBALLMANIA BUT WERE AFRAID TO ASK:

1.      What is BaseballMania? It is an exciting sweepstakes based on pro baseball with 6 weekly and 2 grand prizes. Each ticket has pre-determined teams for each week’s contest.

2.      How much are tickets? $10

3.      When does the ‘season’ start? July 26th. This year’s program is the last 10 weeks of the season.

4.      Last year it was a 17-week season. What’s the difference? The prize winnings have increased for the shorter season.

5.      What are the prizes? Stated on the front of the tickets are the prize amounts ranging from $25 to $250 weekly with grand prizes of $150 and $300 at the end of the season.

6.      Is there a guaranteed winner again this year? YES! If we do not have a paid weekly prize winner, then one of our sold tickets is guaranteed to win $10 each week.

7.      What are the odds of winning? Each ticket has a 1 in 66 chance of winning a posted weekly prize. This does not include the guaranteed $10 weekly winner. That will be based on how many tickets the club sells.

8.      Is there anything new? YES! This year with the purchase of each ticket you receive one free music download from www.CharityStudio.com. A unique access code appears on each ticket.

9.      How does one play? When a ticket is purchased you can either follow along at the www.CharityMania.com website to see how your pre-assigned teams are doing through the week or the purchaser can do absolutely nothing. Either way a check will be sent to the ‘registered’ holder of the winning ticket. Registered holder being the name/address on the stub that is returned.

10.  Why should I bother buying or selling BaseballMania tickets? To raise money to support our ongoing 8 scholarships at East Alton-Wood River and Roxana High Schools . Our club receives $6.50 of every $10 ticket sold. This is a HUGE profit in the fundraising world! If every ticket is sold we can raise $3250!!! AND…it beats doing Cardinals concessions!

11.  What’s my part of the selling process? Return the completed stubs and ticket money to BaseballMania chair, Lori Palmer before the deadline. She will take care of the rest. That’s it. Painless!

12.  I don’t participate in sweepstakes, is there a way I can still participate? YES! Some have ‘bought’ their tickets and made the East Alton Rotary Club Foundation as the recipient of any prize winnings. The cost of the tickets and any prize winnings are tax deductible since proceeds benefit the East Alton Rotary Club Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization.

13.  Don’t see your question here? Just ask!
