GOING THE EXTRA MILE
Eight years ago, Daniel Burdick ended his wedding engagement to pursue a career in music. This week, the singer-songwriter put that music career on hold when he donated a kidney to save the life of his former fiancĂ©e, Sabrina Timms, who’s been on dialysis for a year and a half. Burdick was preparing to embark on a national tour, but he didn’t hesitate. “That tour was my biggest dream, [but] this is more important,” he said. “It was very easy for me to decide.” He hasn’t abandoned the dream yet, though. “Music can come later. It never dies.”
