PEOPLE BEING PEOPLE

Forget waiting in line at the Genius Bar. An Illinois man fed up with his malfunctioning iPhone decided it was an emergency situation and called 911 five times to complain about it. Police traced the calls to the home of Michael Alan Skopec, 48, who was arrested late last night after he “refused to comply with orders from deputies,” according to a spokesperson from the Kendall County Sherriff’s Office. He was given a misdemeanor charge for obstructing a peace officer. Not surprisingly, deputies reported that he was intoxicated when they arrived at his house. He was released from jail on his own recognizance, and will appear in court on Nov. 18.
