A Pennsylvania man nearly lost his finger when he tried to remove his wedding ring by shooting it off. Alfredo Malespini III, a prison guard, had been drinking and arguing with his wife over a past infidelity, police said, when he suddenly pulled out a gun and blasted at his hand. He told police he was “trying to get rid of the wedding ring.” The shot badly mangled Malespini’s finger, but didn’t succeed in removing the ring.
