SIMPLE SOLUTION

If you're constantly plugging and unplugging your laptop out of power strips at work and home, you'll eventually grab the wrong cable. Avoid yanking the plug on your desktop computer or charging station with this simple hack.
As anyone who totes around a laptop knows, it can be annoying and sometimes confusing trying to figure out which cord to unplug when it's time to pack up your laptop, especially if you're plugged into a power strip with a lot of other power cords plugged into it. I wrapped a strip of masking tape around the end of my black power cord, which always makes it extremely easy to tell which cord is mine! It's a handy trick that's cheap to implement and can be easily extended in usefulness by purchasing a pack of colored electrical tape. White on the laptop cord for high visibility, red for the cords like your desktop tower that need to stay plugged in at all times, etc.
