 A Kansas City, Mo., woman grew so tired of tending her lawn that she decided to get rid of the grass—by covering it with 80 tons of sand. “Now being over 60,” said Georgianna Reid, “I’ve decided [that] I wasn’t going to mow anymore or water.”
