HELP WITH THE GARDEN

Gardens (called IntoGardens on iOS) is like “an interactive magazine,” offering advice in text or videos while also enabling users to create a sort of digital scrapbook of their gardens. Social media links let you share notes and photos with friends. (Free)
iScape functions “like a Photoshop for landscape gardens.” Snap a picture of your garden and the app lets you add plants, paths, and other features to the image so you can visualize a plan. If you like the free version, and use iOS, you’ll want the $10 upgrade. (Android or iOS)
Garden Compass lets you call on experts to identify plants, pests, or plant diseases. Send photos in, and the pros can even lay out a battle plan for nursing a plant back to health. (Free, iOS only)
