A GOOD DEED

A California man with nothing to his name faced the dilemma of a lifetime when he found a bag filled with $125,000. Joe Cornell, 52, was watering trees across from the rehab center where he stays for drug addiction when a passing car honked at an armored truck. Nearby he found the bag. “I started crying and shaking,” he said. “Everything was going through my mind—the good devil/bad devil thing.” To set an example for his grandkids, he notified police. “I’m here trying to change my life,” he explained. “I’ve been to jail too many times.” The company that lost the money plans to give him a $5,000 reward.
