PEOPLE BEING PEOPLE

A Washington state man has been arrested because of his enormous footprints. Police first arrested Benjamin Pickrell—who is 6-foot-9, with size 16 feet—on suspicion of car theft, and then released him. Later that same day, the cops responded to a report of a robbery by a knife-wielding burglar, and noticed “extremely large” footprints in the frozen grass. Pickrell, cops say, was “the only person that came to mind that would have that size of shoe.” They say they found him nearby, with a knife and stolen money in his pocket, and promptly re-arrested him.
