BEST USE FOR A LEMON?

A Banner Year for Lemons
Sweat-stain remover: Use the bleaching effect of lemon juice to remove underarm stains on your light-colored shirts. Spray the juice on the stains, let sit for 20 minutes, and launder the shirts in cold water only. (Hot water can further set the stains.)
Moth deterrent: “Replace the mothballs in your closet with an all-natural insecticide: dried lemon peels.” Wrap cheesecloth around the peel from one lemon and hang the pouch from the clothes rod. The peels should be replaced when their scent vanishes.
Weed killer: “Put an end to pesky plants sprouting out of your walkway” by spraying the roots with lemon juice.
Microwave degreaser: The acid in lemon juice breaks down grease, so squirt some on the microwave’s inside walls and wipe clean. For tougher jobs, make a paste using lemon juice and coarse salt or baking soda.
