Apruary
Oklahoma State climatologist Gary McManus has coined the term "Apruary" to describe the weather pattern currently settled over the Southern Plains, with temperatures closer to February than April.
Similar blends for months with odd weather have included "Maycember" and "Junuary." Blended month-words have also been created for more literary purposes. In Nikolai Gogol's "Diary of a Madman," an entry is dated "Marchtober 86th."
